This is not to do directly with World Youth Day but I was glad to see (not glad that they had to do it) that the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference have officially issued a warning against the some what popular book by retired Bishop Geoffrey Robinson, Confronting Power and Sex in the Catholic Church: Reclaiming the Spirit of Jesus.
Rightly so they acknowledge the good work of Bishop Robonson but must point out to the faithful that his book is simply incorrect and misleading in many of its propositions. Have a read of the statement here.
