73 Days to Go!!
And following on from my post about the ways that the media twists the good stories about World Youth Day here is an example of a good news story that features yours truly and those wonderful ladies who did our linens.
It may be a bit to small to read but unfortunately it didn't get posted online but it made page 16 of the real Daily Telegraph which is one of Sydney's two major papers.
It was quite a fun little thing to do, the journalist and photographer came into the Polding centre and we did it all in the Catholic Women's League offices in the building. The photographer must have taken at least 100 photos many liken the one that made it in but then other that had more ladies in it. It's just a whole lot of smiling and laughing but the whole exercise would have taken about an hour just in the office.
You will see some red that they are holding and a splash of red behind the ladies, that is actually out WYD vestments. Due to all the while the photographer wanted to throw some extra colour in. All in all I think it came out well, mind you that pile only shows less than half the linens, the rest are still in Melbourne hopefully close to completion.
