It really is becoming almost imposssible to avoid WYD now, we have the main electronic signs on the motorways counting down, ads in the newspaper anouncing the event and a continuous stream of media reports on the event. While there are good articles, there are still too many that are so blatently bias and negative.
Take for example yesterdays Sun Herald which ran a double page spread on the costs of WYD and in true democratic style that polled a selection of the community to reveal that 47% of Australians thought that WYD was costing too much. Now how many people do you think they polled? 100000? Of course not. 10000? Far from it. 1000? Keep going. 360 people...they polled 360 people which is less than 0.0018% of the population yet that supplied them enough to write a double page spread. I have 352 facebook friends! Come on! Surely they could do better than that!
Lucky no one takes the media too seriously...or do they?
